The Restorative Response to Student Behavior micro-credential course is designed for school staff dedicated to transforming school culture through restorative language and questioning. This self-paced, online micro-credential equips educators with the knowledge and skills necessary to implement restorative practices in various school contexts, fostering a more inclusive, empathetic, and accountable school environment.
🎯 Objectives:
At the end of this micro-credential, staff will be able to:
- Identify restorative justice and practices in schools
- Identify the basic components of restorative dialogue
- Create basic restorative questions
- Identify ways to implement restorative communication to improve the culture and climate of a school building.

You will have the opportunity to explore both restorative justice and dialogue through a mix of readings, videos, examples, and publications.

As you work through this self-paced micro-credential, you will build knowledge and artifacts that will be leveraged when you apply to obtain a passing evaluation of the micro-credential. When you feel prepared to complete the application process, you will complete the required components which may consist of answering questions, adding links, or uploading attachments that showcase your proficiency for obtaining a passing evaluation.
